So, you want to see some of my non-digital art? Things from B.C. = Before Computer?
 Well, this is one from my art school portfolio (before they let us use the machine). The challenge was a 2 color poster. It's made only from cyan and magenta color film. (Yes, lots of exacto cutting.) I did that to simulate what would happen if you overprint the cyan and magenta in a 2 color print job, -- you get a 3rd color, purple! My trick for this was to use a thin blade exacto with a swiveling head so it could cut curves better. Still, I had a few edge tears here and there. Don't look too close or you'll see them. Sadly, the original comp did not hold up too well. The some of the smaller color film spots like around the eyes, fell off. This is a scan of a color laser print of the original color film comp. I might return to this idea in the near future, but this time it will be all be done in Illustrator!!!!  bB |
